One Year Of Photography by Howard Haby

For the blog followers in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, I want to let you know about a couple things that might interest you.

I)  The SPCA have gotten a bunch of new puppies in their shelter and could use a hand in caring for them, be it fostering for a fews days or a week, or even adopting. It’s run by volunteers that can only do so much and they could really use a hand. Also, the pups are freakin’ cute! Drop by and check them out, or take a look at some photos posted online.

II) Team Pepsi are again this year’s champions of the women’s softball league!! They played fantastic, and won 21-9 (something like that) to make it two years in a row as the league champs. My wife and her sister, as well as some friends play on this team and I’m very happy for them all. Great job, ladies!

III) We are amongst celebrities – Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street were spotted relaxing under some birch trees this morning in a park on the military base. We were taking family photos, and I noticed two muppets who looked very familiar. I snapped a couple photos but when I approached them for a quick conversation, they hurried off. I think I heard Bert mutter something like “God damned paparazzi! Lets get out of here,” as he grabbed Ernie by the upper arm and they dissappeared into the bush.

That’s it for today. Hope everyone had a great weekend. Thanks for dropping by.
