187/365: Black Bear

I had to take a quick run towards North West River today to pick up Balto, one of our dog-in-laws, and I spied with my little eye, something black with a brown snout chewing leaves in the woods along side of the road. It was a black bear! Anyway, I pulled over and snapped a few quick photos of him before he made a run for it, and hoped with fingers crossed they were usable. Well, here’s one of the photos.

  1. HEY! I found a manageable connection in St. Lewis so I checked all my main digs. Gotta say that I actually don’t like this blog entry (gasp) lol!! but it’s not for reasons of the photo or it’s quality… I am incredibly terrified of bears. I had a few run-ins with bears in the past and I am always on Bear alert.. it’s to a point now where I can’t walk to my car without scanning the terrain. I swear if I were in the Caribbean I would still do the same. It’s kinda hard for a person who likes to be out walking! LOL

Haha, my sister and I had a conversation about just that subject this evening. I’ll try to keep my wildlife photography limited to cats and dogs from now no. Wouldn’t want to scare away my readers, 🙂
