183/365: Wein Peanut

I received a Wein Peanut optical slave today. I’m going to attach it to my Vivitar 283 so I can use a second flash. Essentially, the slave sees the light from another flash, and triggers whatever flash it is attached to. A nice, cheap way to trigger another flash and avoid the purchase of another Pocket Wizard. However, it does have to be able to “see” the flash, so it has it’s limitations. Suppose to be good up to 100 feet. I’ll test that out sometime. Anyway, that’s what today’s post is about. Oh, and hunt around for pricing if you’re interested. Some places will charge over $40 but you can get them as cheap as $20 shipping included from some places.

Tomorrow’s Friday!!!
