One Year Of Photography by Howard Haby

153/365: The Chase

I was looking for a meadow this evening. In particular, one with tall grass growing in it, something wild and unkempt but still pretty. Make suggestions if you know of one in the Goose Bay area (the higher the grass the better), but it started to get a little dark and I thought I’d try out an idea for a photo.

My goal was to simulate a vehicle behind me (perhaps giving chase, perhaps just a jerk hi-beaming me – hey, I had to get into character, ok?). I think I was fairly successful in simulating a vehicle, but what I noticed most from the photograph, and I hope I don’t distract you when you look at it, is the fact that my windshield is really, really dirty!! Gr! Anyway, I obviously have to clean my truck, but I think the photo would have come out so much… cleaner looking than what it did. More detail and all that. In the end, I’m somewhat pleased with this one.

Hey Mandy, thanks! I’m glad you think so. This was created out of pure curiousity. I have to admit, ideas are starting to get harder to come by now, 153 days in. I guess I could just photograph each letter on my key board, and that would get me another 26 days, but it wouldn’t be much fun. I have a question for you (reply here or email me), are there any more Goose Bay bloggers that you know of?
